Yoga is a non-competitive practice that encourages you to 'listen to' and respect your body. Expect to practice at your pace and sometimes with your eyes closed.

What to bring

Non-slip Yoga/exercise mat or blanket

Bottled water

What to wear

Layers of loose clothing

ie t-shirt and leggings

Mostly we practice with bare feet

Eating

Please don't eat a heavy meal for at least 3/4 hours prior to class

A light snack (piece of fruit) is alright about an hour before

Medical conditions

Please inform your tutor of any medical conditions that you feel may be affected by exercise/stretching. Always check with your health care professional if you are in any doubt about the advisability of undertaking Yoga.

Generally, the way in which I teach is very gentle and the postures aren't held for long periods, however, there may be some contra-indications that it is important that you observe. If in doubt - please ask.
